Successful first month!

todaySeptember 12, 2019

Background

Today, Purbeck Coast FM is celebrating one month since it first went live. After years of hard work, the community radio station based in Swanage, launched on the 12th August.

It’s been an exciting month, not without some teething problems as the presenters get used to all the new equipment but mostly a very rewarding experience.

Guests appearing on air so far, have included Mike Bonfield, the Mayor of Swanage, Tom Curtis and Lennon Yates from The Mowlem, and the team from the Margaret Green Animal Rescue Centre.

Purbeck Coast FM’s station manager, Michelle Langthorne said: “I’m extremely grateful to everyone who has helped us to make this first month of transmission possible. The presenters and technical teams have shown real dedication to make this station such a success and I can’t thank everyone enough!”
