The Country Show with Jan Hunt

Hi, I’m Jan Hunt I present the Country Show on Purbeck
Coast Radio.
I like to play a mixture of modern Country as it is now
called, not ‘country & western’ and the good old tunes
of yester year, like Dolly Parton, Glen Campbell, Kenny
Rodgers, Willie Nelson and so on. I like to play ‘back to
back classic’s each week. A little about me, I am happily
married to Gavin, and I am a mother of four grown up
children and a grandmother. I’ve lived in Poole since
1998, before that though I lived in southern California
for eight years. My Friends there played the latest
country music, so I really enjoy playing it on my radio
show. I was asked to do a Country show for Purbeck
Coast radio in March 2020, and have been picking the
tunes “Old ones, new ones and everything in between”
as I like to say, every Sunday since. I am a big believer
in our local community and where we live, and that
community radio is a great support for local people,
businesses, schools & Charities.
Country music tells a story, and that’s what I love
about it.
