Paul Hutton-Cornish

Background

I am originally from Lancashire though we moved to live on a farm in Yorkshire when I was 8 years old.

When I was 16, I went to work as a nursing cadet in a large psychiatric hospital qualifying when I was 21 and then went on to train as a general nurse.

I lived in Teneriffe running my own bar/restaurant for a couple of years.

I have also sung in a band, been a retained firefighter, managed a nightclub, driven coaches, run a property development company for a couple of years and more.

Later in life I qualified as a teacher but as with a lot of people I returned to nursing where I spent the rest of my working life troubleshooting in, and managing, care homes.

I married my wife Sally after a whirlwind romance in 2012 and we acquired our dog Tilly in 2013. I have 5 children, 11 grandchildren and 3 great – grandchildren.

At present I am a watch keeper for the National Coast Watch and a guardian in the defibrillator team. My wife and I collect goods for Ukraine and I help with NSPCC collections.
